Downstream View
The site had become completely overgrown. The feeder stream into the
original fish traps and the sluice gates had become completely inoperable
due to extensive siltation and vegetation.

Upstream View
Site of the new weir sections. The opened sluice gates, adjacent to the
old fish trap, would encourage salmon towards the trap entrance with the
increase flow of water.

Existing Fish Pass
Extensive siltation and subsequent plant growth around the original fish
pass and screens was present.

|
Upstream of Site
Heavy siltation upstream and several trees have to be cleared from the
site before construction can commence.
